Muslim Fan Dance- Linggo ng Wika

Hi! My daughter is chosen to dance one of the Muslim kababayan's popular dance. Its the Muslim Fan Dance. First we prepare her Muslim costume, the black leotards, black tights, malong and her pearl accessories.

I'm so proud of my daughter since quite shy at first but was able to dance in front of the audience and follow the teacher's instructions.

Thank you and see you on my next post! :)

Homemade Coconut Macaroons

Hi everyone! I know its been more a while since my last post here on my blog. I have been busy on my newest hobby... Baking! And after series of experiments on my recipes... I decided to create a new business for additional income. Then Cocoroons was born.

I know... I know... that I have a misspelling on Macaroooons word... but who cares... its all about branding :) I have created that logo on my own through excel file then published it on paint to become jpeg file.

Here are some goodies that you will surely love:

We are offering 2 flavors, plain coconut and chocolate. But I suggest you get the combination. Its really a crispy pastry outside but soft and chewy inside. So decide on that. :)

These macaroons were the original recipe of my mother in law, so they are authentic and I will make this is the best you will ever taste.

It comes in two sizes. The regular sizes and bite sizes.

A Couple's Boracay Vacation

For our couple's time, we decided to have an intimate vacation last 2011, this time we chose Boracay Island in Aklan. The tickets we got that time was from Zest Air for only P214 all in per person. What a steal! :)

The flight was at 7am so we were in the Manila Domestic Airport by 5am. The airport was only 20 minutes from our house in Las Pinas.

Touched down Kalibo Airport around 10am, its about 2 hours from Kalibo going to Boracay Island. Still needs to travel for 2 hours going to Caticlan Port. Rode a van at P250/ head from Kalibo to Caticlan. Then boat to the island and a tricycle going to our resort.

We stayed in La Carmela de Boracay in Station 2. Room rate was around P2500/ night booked in a travel agency. Small room complete with bathroom amenities was our home away from home in Boracay. My hotel review on this was posted on Trip Advisor.

Immediately after we checked in, headed in D'Mall where restaurants were located and decided strolled around after we ate.

Had refreshments at famous Jonas Fruit Shakes located in Station 1. Don't leave this island without having their signature choco-banana shake.

The next morning was start of our activities. Rented a bug car and went to Mount Luho for scenic view of the island.

Next was snorkeling and island hopping. The boat man brought us in Crocodile Island where the fishes and corals can be seen.

Puka beach was the next destination, an island where instead of sand, broken sea shells were scattered on its shore. No resorts, only small eateries and souvenir shops can be found.

Finally, water reef walking, a very scary activity for me who doesn't know how to swim. It took 2 attempts for me to be able to went down the reef, assisted by a scuba diver. Its worth! The reef was filled with small fishes playing around. We were lucky to see a star fish as well. This activity lasted around 10-15 minutes.

Back to hotel after the tiring day and chilled around the crystal clear water of Boracay. :)

It was indeed a great and relaxing vacation for me and my hubby. We will definitely go back to this place next time with our daughter. (She was 1 year old back then)

See you next time Boracay!!! :)

Birthday at Acacia Hotel Manila

I was lucky enough to spent my previous birthday in Acacia Hotel Manila. Its located in heart of Alabang near Las Pinas, where we live.

It was really an intimate celebration for me and my family. The lobby was huge but I kinda dizzy with the interior prints of the wall and chairs. Pardon I don't have pictures of the lobby and waited for few minutes to check in. They were probably fully booked. :(

The room was huge, perfect for us especially we have a toddler who will play around.

All the hotel staff were friendly. They provided us with a turned-down service during night time with free sweets.

There's a bathtub with complete bathroom amenities and hot and cold rain shower.

My daughter & I enjoyed the warm bath before we go to sleep.

The ample closet have iron & board, flashlight, safety deposit box.

The next day, we planned to swim but unfortunately the pool was under renovation. :(

I'm quite disappointed with their breakfast, taste too bland. We went at the restaurant around 9am but the they run out of food. Waited for 15 minutes to refill the buffet. :(

Over all, we enjoyed our short staycation in Acacia Hotel Manila. Hoping that they will improved their food taste.

Pink Playroom

Every little girl's dream is to have her own pink room, that's why my husband & I created this little pink playroom for our kiddo. It is still not finish, so for the meantime, this is what we can give her. If we will have a budget soon... we will be putting decors, toy shelves/cabinet and her wall photos as well.
Swing and playhouse was given by her Grand Parents

Some of the special things about this room are the stuff toys that were bought during our out-of-the-country trips.
stuff toys collection from different countries
The polka dot Minnie Mouse if Tokyo Disney Resort in Japan. One of my client went there and I asked her to buy a souvenir toy. I noticed that the texture of the fur is very soft compare to Minnie Mouse that we bought in Hong Kong Disneyland.

The White Tiger came from Singapore Zoo. The Elephant was bought from Bangkok, Thailand. Pingu head pillow is from Little Big Club attraction in Malaysia. Finally, the Cebu Pacific's airplane toy was bought on-board.

My toddler really have nice time playing with those toys on her new playroom.

Finally, my very own blog!

I am so excited of this new hobby. Days after I resigned from my former job, I became SAHM (stay at home mom) to take care of my one one only daughter. This is my first time to become SAHM, since I have been working in a hotel industry for more than ten (10) years.

Whoaah!!! I did not realized it was that long. Wondering how old am I? Turning 34 this July.

Probably after a month or 2, I will be working again. Not really for career growth or something, this is to pay bills and help hubby financially.

Soon, I am hoping to have my own pastry shop or restaurant or one-stop party shop. (In God's perfect time)

This will be the a new start of something new.

Welcome to my world... welcome to my new blog!
